Thief survives mob action

Mukono - Police in Seeta rescued a suspected robber from an angry mob that wanted to lynch him. Isaac Turyatunga, a resident of Seeta was allegedly found selling stolen items that included two mattresses, a television set, a DVD player and four Nokia phones.

A boda boda cyclist only identified as Mukasa said Turyatunga was nabbed after selling the items cheaply, and added that a search at his house unearthed six other phones and a sofa set, all suspected to be stolen.
