NGO wants police surgeons off defilement cases

jInjA - A number of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in the Busoga sub region have urged the parliament to expedite the process of scrutinising a petition fled over child abuse, with the salient issue being delays by police surgeons in conducting examinations for defilement cases.

“To help expedite the examination process, other medical personnel like diploma holders should be allowed to carry out the tests. This will ease the pain the victims of defilement encounter
