Ugandans should brace for several more months of rising food prices that have sparked unrest in Kampala and some other major towns. Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has predicted that food prices will maintain an upward trend for another three months as the country’s food stocks dwindle.
The situation is expected to improve after the new harvest, sometime in August. But that too will only be possible if the country receives enough rain between now and August. This
