Gun trade peaks in Karamoja

The Government may deny it, but area politicians claim Karamoja’s lawlessness has spiralled out of control and the gun trade has peaked.

The claim has put defence minister Crispus Kiyinga under increasing scrutiny. A Member of Parliament from the sub-region on Wednesday demanded a full explanation from the
minister over the escalation of rustling.
