StanChart plants trees in Gulu

Standard Chartered Bank is partnering Environmental Conservation Trust of Uganda (Ecotrust) in planting trees in northern Uganda. This is the third phase of the bank’s Shs461m project. The three-year tree planting programme kicked off at Awach Primary School in Gulu.

The partnership aims at planting trees in all four regions.
The first phase saw 60,000 trees planted in Mbale and Manafwa in May last year. In September, 13,000 trees were planted at Bishop Stuart
